Following a successful thirty year career in Southern California designing commercial and government electronics, this Marine Corps veteran relocated to the Pacific Northwest. Since 2004, David has been actively involved in developing residential properties in Kitsap and Pierce Counties, including recovering and remodeling distressed properties. He recently expanded on this experience by becoming a licensed real estate broker and joined the very experienced Edwards Team at RE/MAX Town and Country in Port Orchard, Washington.
His eight year Marine Corps service covered the last years of the Vietnam Conflict and in 1975, while stationed in Hawaii, David participated in preparing for the emergency withdrawal of the embassy personnel from Saigon. During his time in Hawaii he met and married is wonderful wife, Beth, who has been his partner in his real estate development activities.
During his enlistment, David was trained extensively in electronics and after his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, he converted this training into an engineering job with a large electronics firm which supported military contracts. He left there to become an independent engineering consultant and contractor, seeking greater challenges with multiple companies. David is proud of his many career accomplishments. He has designed and helped develop devices that supported the NASA Space Shuttle missions, as well as satellite launch and orbit controls, including the Hubble Space Telescope. He designed key elements in Radar and Early Warning Systems aboard many US fighter aircraft, encrypted communication systems, commercial aircraft safety equipment, and irrigation control systems.
He is excited about his new career path and very pleased to be joining the Edwards Team.
David's goal, to help his clients avoid the mistakes he has made.
